Dear Climbers,

We are really grateful and overwhelmed by the love and support from all of you who signed and shared the petition to protect access to our home crag - Dairy Farm.

Given the attention that the petition received, QX was invited to join in the ongoing conversations between NParks and SMF.

There has been conversations between NParks and SMF since July 2020 about safety at Dairy Farm, but there are no outcomes.

NParks has requested for the content of the recent meeting to be kept confidential, but we have asked SMF for a meeting next week to understand the context of the previous conversations they have had with NParks, and to explore any safety management plans currently being proposed.

NParks also requested that climbers respect their request to refrain from climbing at Dairy Farm while this is ongoing. While this may not be not a favourable short-term outcome, we believe that being responsible users and stewards of our climbing areas also means respecting the wishes of the landowner, in this case, NParks, while we work to regain and maintain access to Dairy Farm. Please help us by not jeopardizing this effort and cease all climbing activities at the crag.

If you have any suggestions or questions, we would like to hear from you! Please feel free to reach us at rockclimberscollective@gmail.com.

Thank you all and we will be providing updates soon as we have any!

Best Regards,
Rock Climbers Collective SG
