One of the most ethically questionable MPs in our current Australian parliament is definitely Stuart Robert.
Yet he is protected by the Prime Minister, a personal friend for whom he helped secure the country's most prestigious job by helping Morrison obtain the Liberal leadership.
In this update we'll look at a few media reports that indicate that Stuart Robert hypocritically thinks that rorting tax-payers is ONLY a CRIME if you are poor and perhaps receive a few dollars too much a week in social security payments.
Remember the "robodebt'' scheme was started under the auspices of both current PM Morrison as Minister and current AG Porter (a lawyer) - BOTH knew it was likely illegal but pushed for it anyway!
But that for the wealthy like him - committing major breaches of ethics by receiving multiple million dollar tax-payer grants from companies he has a personal interest in (not only unethical but also illegal) and putting out HIS hand to Tax-payers by billing us questionable expenses is all OKAY - as long as you're a MEMBER of the LNP Government.
NO 'robodebt' for Politicians!
But it's NOT OKAY if you are Peter Slipper who left LNP ranks by becoming speaker in Julia Gillard's Govt and was punished viciously not only through the COURTS - but personally losing his marriage, reputation and tens of thousands of dollars clearing his name - for $900+ in cab-charges which were seen as questionable (but later PROVEN NOT to be so) and for which MPs did then - and STILL DO (such as Stuart Roberts' excessive internet charges of some $38,000) - usually get to pay back all kinds of breaches of expense accounts rules QUIETLY without any penalty OR publicity.

Some of Stuart Roberts questionable ethics breaches of Parliamentary rules in his business dealings since he was elected to Parliament by the electors of Fadden in 2007 - are even BEYOND the Senate's national Integrity Commission Bill retrospective TEN YEAR rule - so even if the Senate's Bill was passed - no ACTION could be commenced.
But there remains issues much more RECENT that Roberts KNOWS he would have paid dearly for - and have possibly been pressured to resign for - IF he was a State MP under the STATE's various ICACs.

Which is WHY the LNP have GAGGED debate on the Senate's NIC Bill in the House of Representatives TWICE this year alone (to prevent a VOTE so ALL Australians can SEE who votes AGAINST it ) - to give AG Christian Porter TIME to write his own legislation for the LNP's favoured National Integrity Commission structure..
And WHY Australians MUST keep PUSHING for the Senate's National Integrity Commission Bill (and a Code of Ethics) to be VOTED on ASAP!
