Hi and thanks for sharing :) On Tuesday 11/2/2020 a motion put forward by the Greens and backed by ALL crossbench and Labor MPs in the House of Representatives - including Bob Katter and One Nation - was lost 70-72.
This motion was to bring on DEBATE of the Senate's National Integrity Commission Bill - NOT to even VOTE on the actual BILL itself!
The Govt wants to keep this Bill hidden while it eventually gets around to writing its own MUCH weaker legislation which will not be based on the NSW ICAC model (Christian Porter says that model is too harsh) and National Integrity Commission Bill 2018 (No. 2) is also (in the Govt's opinion) too long in its retrospectivity of up to 10 years.
As this Govt will have been in power in Australia for 9+ years by the next election and with the number of breaches of Integrity and ETHICS that has been demonstrated just in the LAST TERM of this Government I can well understand THEIR concern!
Please read this story attached to this update to find out what happened and some history as it will save me writing heaps here - because to be honest I have spent MONTHS on this Petition and actually Tweet it SEVERAL times EVERY day!
Currently I feel a bit worn out and defeated. I work and have a partner who is finding my dedication to this a bit too much to handle - he gets quite annoyed with me at times as he feels I neglect OUR life for "no real benefit to anyone!"
Maybe he IS right..
But I strongly BELIEVE that if we COULD get a couple of hundred thousand signatures on this Petition as well as other petitions around - here are some links to others that I am aware of (I DID try the Australian Parliament House website petition format myself a few months ago but only got 90+ signatures - but this lady has MANY more followers on Twitter than me!)

This one has nearly as many signatures as mine after 3 WEEKS - must be the ICAC bit!
Must ADD that ICAC name to this Petition!

Not a member of any political party but a member of a rather 'tame' Union.
Vote Compass put me left of Labor but not as Left as The Greens!
