I wanted to wish you all a Merry Christmas! Figured now was as good of a time as any to do a post update.

We are struggling to get 3,000 signatures. A personal goal of mine is to get us to 10,000 if not up to 20,000. It’s not easy as there are many people who want to debate. I fully understand there are people who feel differently. My reply is simple:  Don’t sign if you don’t agree! Don’t waste my time and yours by debating. Everyone who supports this petition is here to share it and get signatures. 

While our goal is a pipe dream, let’s keep at it! If you’ve signed, make a commitment you’ll get five others to sign and share. Have the people you get to sign make the same commitment.

I’ve considered doing a prize in the past. I do have some Minnesota Sports memorabilia that I could see myself parting with if it advanced the petition with signatures and awareness (Jared Allen signed Vikings helmet, Teddy Bridgewater signed rookie card with a piece of his jersey, Paul Molitor, Sid Hartman, Hulk Hogan and Steve Austin bobble heads), Jeff Reardon life sized signed framed poster), etc. I do have some North Stars and Wild stuff, but that’s something I'm not ready to part with as of yet.

If any of you have ideas on how we can get more signatures or bring awareness to the petition, let me know. The petition has been discussed on local MN media feeds as we’ve gone about this. I’d really like to make a go with getting this to the NHL. The more support we have, the better a chance of at least generating a response even if it doesn’t go far.
