Hi Everyone, My apologies for no updates recently. As we all know, summer can keep us busy. It doesn't take a genius to see we've stalled at signatures. We had great activity thanks to the Minnesota North Stars, I Love Minnesota Sports, Forever North Stars, Minnesota North Stars Photos, and Bring the North Stars Back Facebook/Twitter groups. We find ourselves around 30 signatures away from 1,500. My hope was for 10,000 signatures to present the NHL with at least something to get a small blip on their radar to even start a conversation about our goal. I made a promise that I would contact the NHL no matter how many signatures we obtained. I doubt the level we currently have will even garner a spark of hope, but I'm a man of my word. I'm going to issue another call before deciding when to move forward. Some of you responded with ideas and they all sound great, but it's going to take local people in Minnesota to help pull them off. I live in the Milwaukee area (born and raised in Minnesota) and can only really help from online. Does anyone know any media members who would plug the petition on their Twitter, Facebook, or even a place like the Star Tribune, Pioneer Press, KFAN, 1500 ESPN, etc.? I've tried Twitter with all the media personalities I could think of and had no response. I tried Lou Nanne and no response. I've tried everything I could think of trying. I love being persistent, but there comes a time when there is no response that I realize it isn't working from my end. Please share the petition on your Facebook and Twitter pages. If any of the Facebook/Twitter groups that have shared before want to share again, it could help garner more signatures. If anyone can break through to the media for a share, please let me know! I'll happily highlight anyone who can be of assistance in helping us grow in signatures. I know there is zero guarantee of us reaching our goal of the history coming back to Minnesota, but at least sending the NHL a message with a great push helps start the conversation. If Charlotte can get the NBA Hornets back, why can't we have the North Stars back (at least the history)? Thanks, Joel
