Today as I write this, we have officially been stranded for 6 days. Thursday evening, (3/16) will make one week.
We have yet to receive any updates whatsoever on a status or as to when repairs are going to be attempted at the main break at Conley Bridge.
Bailey Bridge on North Fork Drive has been repaired and made passable by vehicle twice now since monday, so those citizens were able to get out and grab essentials. But there are further mudslides up North Fork that have a handful of people stranded as well.
Mineral King residents have also not received any updates on plans for repair to their road wash out either, and they are extremely isolated.
A neighbor and myself have contact the governors OES, (office of emergency services) serveral times and have yet to hear back. I have also reached out to the California National Guard, and have not heard back.
Today, a member of the South Fork stranded Community had to be air lifted out for medical reasons, so our thoughts are with them.
Tomorrow, (3/16) a drone operator is coming up to help transport prescriptions across the Conley Bridge break.
Thank you to those that have already signed and shared!
