Curtis mom
that would be me,
would like to update you on Curtis Case
we just sent email to DA office for a new court date due to the first court date I was not informed ,
the case court went on without me and the judge denied following through that. It was a homicide. We fought for 20 years,
accidental to change to homicide we fought the police reports we fought the medical examiners reports. The manner of death now is homicide.
Now we come to the cause of death and I need your prayers and support and pushing this so that Justice may be served.
The Lifeguard report are now under investigation so we ask the DA due to all the overwhelming evidence of cause of death being not clear due to the reports of the agencies report on his investigation do not add up of a drowning victim,
DA email back saying they will send the case to Cold Case which that’s where it’s been for the last 28 years we responded back.

Subject: Urgent Request for a New Hearing and Court Order for Exhumation
Subject: Urgent Request for a New Hearing and Court Order for Exhumation - Case of Curtis Leon Williamson
Dear San Diego County District Attorney's Office,
I am writing to you again regarding the case of my son, Curtis Leon Williamson, who passed away on March 26, 1997. After 28 years, my family and I are respectfully requesting your assistance in obtaining a court order for the exhumation of his body.
Over the past two decades, our family has worked tirelessly to have this case reclassified from a cold case to a homicide. We have recently discovered that the initial lifeguard reports were false, and new evidence has come to light that contradicts the original cause of death, "drowning." This new information, along with medical examiner photos showing a broken hand and a living witness whom your office has not interviewed, provides overwhelming evidence that his death was not an accident drowning
We have spoken with the San Diego court, and they have advised us to seek your office's assistance in getting the necessary court order. As a family, we do not have the legal authority to proceed with the exhumation on our own. We believe that this is the only path forward to determine the true cause of death and finally get the answers our family deserves after enduring four different death certificates and years of being told this case would remain unsolved.
Our only goal is to find the truth of how our son died. We are not seeking financial compensation; we simply want a cause of death for our child, who was only 16 years old. We urge you to show the compassion and effort this case deserves and do the right thing by assisting us with a court order.
Thank you for your time and consideration of this urgent matter.
Sincerely,
Patricia Ward
