Despite promises and world wide attention on the murder of GEORGE FLOYD the legislation which was named in his honor was NOT passed by Congress despite hearing testimony from "several family's" who had a loved one murdered by police! The George Floyd Act was not passed because QUALIFIED IMMUNITY could not be agreed upon in the attempts to "weaken" the legislation concerning it! As a result "nothing" was obtained. I'd like to believe that people have "a say" in government, and that those elected are accountable to the people. But when the people have "spoken" demanding accountability, and the world watched and witnessed the protests and demands concerning it, and even supported by their owns demands in SOLIDARITY, but watched congress nullify an ACT named in honor of the victim, then neither the VICTIM nor THE PEOPLE have cause to believe it is government "for and by the people". For the people have "spoken" and the "accountability" sought for was DENIED!

Currently 1,064,949 have joined the demand for nation wide action against police brutality and murder! But those voices have not been heard. They are not the voices seeking justice "on behalf of one" but on behalf of all. They have watched "case by case" demands for justice resulting in "settlements" but NO JUSTICE while continual families line up demanding their share, of a justice owed and due. In the midst of this, are continual brutalizations and murders highlighted on video for all to see, not in a fight for nation-wide action, but in the fight of ONE who also shall join the ranks of the others seeking to be heard. I submit to you that we can not win "single-handedly" in individual fights! Nor, should we "pool all resources" into fights which benefit ONE while leaving ALL OTHERS still at risk for "murders and brutalizations" by police! An "injury to one, is an injury to us all". And we cannot obtain the victory needed by fighting on behalf of one. It is in this mind set that the demand for nation-wide action was launched: Before Sandra Bland. Before Michael Brown. Before Eric Garner. Before Brianna Taylor. Before George Floyd.

I have not deviated. I have not reversed and changed course. In no form or fashion have I resolved the situation unobtainable. The only resolve I've concluded is that people "support" what they in fact "support". And when they don't - they won't! And when you give freely of "time and personal resources" in the service of "the greater good", you teach them what they can expect from you! They will neither acknowledge your fight, "the risk" nor the continuing effort, despite gaining nothing for yourself in return. They will address you as an "authority on the issue" while ignoring what you've proposed to do about it, while seeking your commentary on "viral videos" which they'll give to you for that purpose. Not once does it occur to them the "grief and anguish" imposed by watching.

They simply want "a comment" to hear and know "what I think". Words appear to give hope that something is being done about it, when at the "root" of what I've proposed is because NOTHING is being done about it!! Who were they listening to all these years? It couldn't have been me because all I did was "refute and expose" every FAKE ATTEMPT of bringing about justice! It is for those very reasons, I am not grouped with the other MOTHERS who have lost a loved one at the hands of police. They want to "get along" and I don't. They want to create laws, I don't. They need to hear and understand the reasons their loved one was murdered. I don't. I don't because I KNOW. And what I KNOW requires and demands nation-wide action to defeat and come against it! The demand is simple: Punish them for they have murdered. Save the "justifications" for somebody who will accept them. Because I won't. That is the stand and position being taken, whether "few or many" stand with me. And if and when "supported" in that stand, it then becomes "front and center". Because having "done all things already" there's nothing more for me to do but STAND.
