Yet another family is broken hearted and grieving, seeking justice for the murder of their child! 15 year old Jordan Edwards and "honor" student without any history of drugs or criminal activity was murdered by police as he and brothers and two friends were leaving a party. He suffered a gunshot wound to the head fatally wounding him while inside the vehicle he and his friends were driving. Police had been called to a party were alleged "under-age drinking" was said to be occurring. When police arrived many of the teens "scattered" and Edwards and his friends were attempting to go home. For reason unexplainable police "fired" into their vehicle claiming it "backed into them". But a video revealed the vehicle was "driving away" from police NOT "backing" into them. A petition is circulating demanding justice because no action of yet has been taken. An innocent 15 year old has been murdered without reason, and the claims police made concerning it turned out to be LIES and NO ACTION has been taken. Even in the face of wrongdoing their remains a hesitancy to "arrest and charge" police in accordance to the crime committed. Delays such as this in bringing about justice convey a willingness to allow lives "wrongly taken" to be minimized as incidental and nothing of primary concern. It conveys to police the taking of lives is okay "irregardless' to the promise it may have had or any exemplary record. None of us are safe. This is no criteria which will prompt police to act in accordance to law when it's officers have "violated" the law. Delays and further investigations merely "buy time" hoping to erase the incident from memory. These tactics which are used by police can no longer be tolerated. And the nation itself must see to it. Our demand is clear; Police must be held accountable for the atrocities being committed, along with those who "aid and bet" them. And silence on the part of those in office claiming to "make America great" while IGNORING this issue, yet "supporting police" makes them a party to the crimes committed. Let our demand "move forward" without further hinderance. For we are all responsible to carry forth the demand and make it known. That is the task here before us.
