We still need all the support we can get. Please share. Last weeks budget meeting was interesting. A council member talked about needing better sewer and water. Fact infrastructure comes from a different budget. A very small amount comes out of the general fund for infrastructure. So far I have heard council members ask for a business plan for the police department. Stats and expenditures are the business plan. They change frequently. Running a police department isn’t like running a business. So far we really don’t have a clear reason why the budget needs changed or why the cuts have to come from Nashville PD. What about other services in town that are paid through town council? Are they being asked for a business plan? Why are those department heads attending meetings? Why is there no discussion about cutting their funding? All of these are legitimate questions. Please check the town of Nashville website for upcoming meetings. And please share this petition.
