Let Aravind go to NASA

Let Aravind go to NASA
The Issue
The LCATS Program, funded by NASA and run by the WEX Foundation, is offering a day trip to all enrolled members to NASA JSC in Houston to learn about space tech and history. However, Aravind (whose last name I will not include for privacy reasons) is not being allowed to go. Why? Because he is an Indian immigrant here with a visa. NASA will not let him go on some of the tours which are a part of the trip, simply because he is legally not a permanent resident of the US. This is unfair, unjust, and racist. Aravind is an incredibly bright guy, and he has been an amazing friend to me. He loves space and space science, and aspires to be an astrophysicist, and he is being robbed of his right to education simply due to his status as a legal temporary resident. Aravind does not deserve to be treated this way due to institutionalized racist policies. Many of my relatives experienced some of the same things when she moved to the US from Mexico in the 1970s and 1980s, and it is shocking that legal immigrants are still being treated poorly 40 years later. Please sign this petition so Aravind can pursue this amazing opportunity, and learn more about the things he is passionate about.
