STOP the privatization of IDBI bank #saveIDBIbank
The Issue
Dear Sirs,
Every single employee of IDBI bank has started their career knowing that they are going to be a part of an esteemed central govt bank, but due to speculations that the bank is going to be privatized feeling of anxiety has settled in the hearts of 18,000 + plus employees of the bank. As all of our future is at stake here, we kindly request you to withdraw your efforts to privatize IDBI bank and save the employees and their families, who had worked so hard and made the bank into what it is now. Efforts to privatize the bank will lead to job insecurity, uncertainty and will ultimately demoralize the employees.
And, I would also like to bring to your notice that - Privatization of banks is an example of anti-inclusion policy. A private bank rarely entertains customers who can't maintain Rs. 1 lakh savings a/c balance, pay min. Rs. 50,000 per year in LI/GI and the like.
Govt. banks go out of their way to ensure a person who saves Rs. 500 per month gets to do that in a safe and secure manner by coming under the ambit of banking. A govt. banker usually goes out of his way (read : regularly working extra hours and also on holidays, without extra pay) to ensure the implementation of this national goal, while retaining an assurance that his sacrifice is backed by the govt. support towards his job security and well being of family. Privatization is the deliberate withdrawal of this support and gross ingratitude towards this hard-working banker.
Kindly consider our plea.
Thank you.
