If you are a concerned about the future of Herrick Lake and Danada Forest Preserves—and the health of the whole area—please consider showing your support at the 7 p.m. Nov. 5 Naperville Planning and Zoning meeting (400 S. Eagle St.) We need to pack the room!
Even if you don’t think this project will affect you, it could set a very dangerous precedent for the western suburbs.
Currently Naperville has no formal safeguards in place to protect public lands and neighborhoods from ANY kind of data center project, despite the serious environmental impacts and public health risks. There are also many zoning, air and noise pollution, master plan, and electrical grid complications. On top of that, Naperville gets the majority of its electricity from coal-fired power plants.
