On October 30, 2015, Jared and Jaison Brown, who were students and soccer players at Dacula High School and active members of the community, were in a fatal accident turning left onto Harbins Road from Highway 316. In memory of them, crosses were placed by the intersection with their names, flowers, and soccer jerseys. When the construction of the new bridge started, the crosses were removed. The whole community of Dacula was deeply impacted by the deaths of these young men. The addition of the bridge was largely in response to the frequency of dangerous accidents, including that of the Brown brothers. 

The naming of the bridge would be a perfect opportunity to honor and remember two young boys who impacted the Dacula community deeply in their lives and passing. In response, the bridge should be named the Brown Brother Memorial Bridge.
