I am an environmental activist. 

Though I never got any public credit for my efforts, in 2013, I blew the whistle on the corruption at the Region 5 EPA that later led to the Flint Water Crisis. The US EPA Inspector General later found Region 5 partially responsible and the administrator was forced to resign, only after the entire city was poisoned.  

I was two years ahead of everyone but you’ve never heard my story.  There’s a reason for this.  

As the crisis was brewing the in background, in 2015, a man in Columbus, Ohio, who has been a vocal political opponent of my efforts to clean up toxic waste, filed a frivolous Civil Stalking Protection Order against me, from 3,000 miles away, while I was living in Oregon.  This was done as a war of financial attrition and there was no grounds for his filing. I’d had no contact with him, whatsoever. 

The courts ran a case against me without notifying me, for over eight months.  Eventually, after $40,000 in expenses, the case was dismissed, not once, but twice, because when it was dismissed the first time, he walked right back across the hallway and filed again. This money was the entire budget for my .org and the cost directly prevented me from doing my job of saving Flint. 

Had I have been able to use my budget for my cause in Flint, the water crisis could have been stopped ten months earlier, as the EPA would have been forced into action, prior to the deaths of dozens and dozens of people.  

I’d asked The Columbus Dispatch to publish an article about the dismissal, so there would be third party sourcing.  They refused and buried the story.  

At this time, I also notified the city’s prosecutors office of this man’s fraud schemes and how they were negatively impacting many of the African American communities I was fighting for.  The Buffalo Lead Lupus Study shows that African Americans are disproportionately affected by toxic waste and that the government does not help them.  Flint is a prime example. 

I placed numerous calls to cyber crimes investigator David Fox, who made no effort to call me back or investigate.  This man was using hundred of social media accounts and fake e-mails to harass both myself and my mother, as he was claiming he was my victim.  He’s got a history of this and I’m not the only person he’s attacked in this manner.  He’s got a long history of using the courts and police to help him wage his aggressive stalking campaigns. 

In 2016, as I was working in Flint, on another cause, this man in Columbus circulated the initial court records from the case, around Flint, and didn’t tell people the case had been dismissed.  As I worked in Flint to help pass the new city charter, I was attacked by conservative members of the community who had the Franklin County court records.   I had no news article to back the dismissal, causing innocent people to fall for the ruse. 

While this was happening, I published an article and ran a public campaign exposing what this man was up to. It was sent to City Council, the Mayor, Columbus Police, including Zach Klein.

Obviously, racist, far right Prosector Ron O’Brien did not care.  He’s spent his entire career unfairly dominating minorities, disabled people, protected classes and anyone else that is poor because he’s weak and it’s the only way he can win. 

I warned them that the man was trying to frame me for a crime - bragging about it publicly - and he was hurting a lot of people, especially black communities.  I implored them to investigate his fraud schemes, his exploitation of city resources for his own private political battles, and I even pointed out how his efforts were wasteful spending. They did nothing. 

Over the next year, I received thousands of harassing e-mails, from a party known to be connected to this political opponent and enemy to the environment, telling me they had “plans for me” and that I would be “framed for a crime.”  These e-mails were once again sent to the city prosecutors office with no response or action.  It’s clear, they were aware.  

In 2017, Zach Klein was once again made aware of all of this. There is no doubt, whatsoever, that he knew.  

In 2018, this man attacked me again in another city, in Missouri, pulling the same scam, but this time he claimed he was working directly with the city prosecutors office, as Zach Klein was now the city attorney.  Fed up, I wrote to the entire prosecution staff, demanding an investigation. 

As I recently learned, instead of investigating, they were working with this man, who by then had drained me of hundreds of thousands of dollars until I finally lost everything and ended up destitute.  I was homeless for an entire year and care very close to death.  I’m only lucky to be alive to share this story.  

Earlier this year, at the beginning of March, I once again wrote to Zach Klein and prosecutor’s office, for the fifth year in a row, demanding an investigation.  I informed them of my intent to pursue litigation against the city for negligence, conspiracy against rights, and other counts.

On March 23rd, to retaliate, Franklin County issued a warrant for my arrest, for misdemeanors, claiming I was harassing the man who has been stalking me for close to seven years. They worked with this man, methodically waited until I had nothing left, and pounced on me, almost two entire years after the alleged incidents occurred.  

Even though I live 3,000 miles away, and went out of my way to handle the matter, Zach Klein has directly blocked all efforts to allow me to handle my case.  In fact, there is so much evidence of entrapment that local attorneys have refused to take my case, for fear of damaging their careers, and even the Public Defender’s Office is denying me access to legal services.

As a result, I have been left to fight this case on my own, as I’ve repeatedly demanded that Zach Klein honor my legal right to represent my own case.  

The prosecutors and courts have even denied me that right!

They’ve left me out here, a stalking victim. Since the charges were filed the alleged victim has posted tens of thousands of harassing comments all over my pages, using a whopping 72 fake Facebook accounts to do so.  I am being denied access to housing, employment, struggling and suffering.  I am getting emails threatening to murder my mother.  It’s sickening. They are fully aware of this and are supporting his efforts.

Any attempt I’ve made to resolve the case has been blocked by Zach Klein, who has the nerve to call himself a former Biden staffer and a Democrat who works closely with the NAACP. 

NAACP, or anyone else, can contact me directly and I can show them the evidence that Zach Klein is trying to bury my story, with my arrest, how he looked the other way, did not care about Flint, how he sat idly by as black people were victims of toxic waste - the very same thing his friends at the Region 5 EPA were found guilty of by the EPA’s Inspector General’s office  - as today, I am the skeleton in his closet, the one that shows who he truly is at his core.  

I’m imploring black groups to cut all ties with this Zach Klein who is also a part of Columbus, Ohio’s, corrupt justice system.  He’s a snake in the grass and far worse than O’Brien because Klein puts on two faces each day, the public face that claims to support African Americans and the one under the hood he wears in private as he oppresses them.  

We need to send a loud powerful messages not only to him but to right wing, white supremacist, racist maniac Prosecutor Ron O’Brien, that it’s time for their kind to be driven back into the woods filled with burning crosses, from which they came. 

Signing this petition will let these predators posing as prosecutors know that they can’t hide anymore and that WE are aware and watching.
