Dear Friend, Thank you for signing this petition calling on Iran to release my wife, Bahareh Hedayat, from her unjust imprisonment. Bahareh remains in Evin prison but recently I was able to see her, hug her and speak with her in person. Iranian authorities returned her to prison, and it isn’t clear when she will see the light of day again. Your support is keeping Bahareh going and I’m asking for your help once more: Write a letter to Bahareh. Bahareh and other prisoners have told me letters inspire them and give them greater protection. Authorities know that the world is watching. Prisoners who have outside support often receive better treatment or are released. Prisoners also feel a stronger resolve with each letter. Writing a letter takes only a few minutes. Here are some ideas: ----Tell Bahareh a little about yourself; ----Let her know that she inspires you; and ----Tell her why you care about her case and are taking the time to write to her. Please send United for Iran a copy (take a picture with your phone) at voices@united4iran.org so we can promote your efforts as well, further pressuring for her release. Feel free to exclude your name. Each letter َUnited for Iran receives improves its ability to advocate for Bahareh and secure her freedom. Will you take a moment to write a letter for Bahareh and share it with us? In Solidarity, Amin P.S. Send the letter to: Tehran-Iran, Zendane Evin (Baraye Bahareh Hedayat) P.P.S. You can always sign this sample letter or use it as a source of inspiration: http://united4iran.org/wp-content/uploads/BaharehSampleLetter.pdf
