Dec 7, 2015
Hello Everyone,
My Bahareh Hedayat is a student activist and women’s rights advocate who has been unjustly imprisoned by the Iranian government since 2009. Last week, I saw Bahareh for the first time in a year. She wrote this poem in my hand:
How long should I seek you
without finding you.
How long should I smell your scent
without having you.
-Your Bahareh
Bahareh now knows that more than 100,000 of you around the world have asked Iranian authorities to end her illegal imprisonment. Your support is a powerful signal that the world is watching what happens to Bahareh. We are hopeful that if more people sign this petition she will receive better treatment and may be released.
Please take a moment to share her petition on Twitter and Facebook today.

“Bahareh Hedayat is a student and women's rights activist in Iran who has been unjustly imprisoned since 2009. I just joined 110,000 other people and signed a petition started by her husband to #FreeBahareh. Sign and share to support human rights activists in Iran.”
Bahareh's health has been declining in prison and your actions have given us hope that this long dark time may end. We must continue to tell the Iranian government that the world is watching. Please take a moment to share your support for Bahareh.
Thank you,
Amin Ahmadian
