Dear Friend, I want to personally thank you for supporting Bahareh Hedayat by demanding that she be freed from prison in Iran. Though Bahareh’s health has begun to deteriorate in prison, I’d like to think that knowing she is supported by tens of thousands of people around the world brings her some solace. Increasing pressure on the Iranian government could lead to Bahareh’s release. Iranian authorities know that law required them to release Bahareh this summer. They have ignored the law by keeping her in prison and adding two years to her sentence. Continued pressure on the Iranian government creates an opportunity to make sure Bahareh is released from prison as soon as possible.
