Hello again!
Apologies for the slow updates, I've been busy in between work and the rest of my life besides writing, but I've been writing as much as I can, and finished 9 chapters into Nicktoons Unite, spanning over 120,000 words. The chapters are of longer length because this story is meant to have an epic feel to it, translating to longer, more dramatic scenes when it hits the big screen.
The image above is a new flyer, made off a letterhead a former intern of Nickelodeon found and shared on the RetroNickelodeon Subreddit. I felt the original flyer was too bland, and the added visual of the characters was a perfect touch, making this letterhead perfect for the job. You'll notice there is a white space on the image; this was added to keep the aspect ratio of the flyer. Simply remove it in Microsoft Paint or any other basic image editing software, and it's ready to print. Send it out wherever you can!
Of the 400 signatures collected so far, one notable name on the list is Mimi Chan. She is known for providing the likeness for the animated title character of Disney's Mulan, as well as providing fight coordination for the film. She has been one of my kung fu teachers, giving me the knowledge to coordinate my own fight scenes, and learn more about Chinese and Asian history for when I write for Avatar: The Last Airbender/The Legend of Korra.
She also runs her own podcast, where she interviews various figures on various issues, including comic writers and artists such as Stan Sakai (Usagi Yojimbo, 47 Ronin, Grendel), Jim Lee (Gen 13, Batman, X-Men), and Greg Rucka (Batman, Wonder Woman, Wolverine).
