After an Iconic and historic entry into the Uk in the 70s , David Cassidy continued to try to re-invent his music career.
He enjoyed a career revival in 1985 thanks to his single 'The Last Kiss'. The track featured his close friend George Michael on backing vocals.George Michael did backup vocals on this song.Alan Tarney wrote the music which was originally released by Cliff Richard as "Young Love". David rewrote the lyrics.
Then still part of Wham!, George was a teen idol himself, and became close friends with David, despite coming from different eras.Amazingly, George interviewed David for a special 1985 interview for fashion magazine called Ritz Magazine

- The interview between David and George first took place over lunch at Pier 31 Restaurant, at which they were both got rather inebriated … so much so that they endeavoured a second, more successful meeting at David’s house the following week ….they talked of stardom and dealing with fame.
