Thursday City Council meeting - 6 pm

Good afternoon! I greatly appreciate your support on this petition. I have spoken with several council members and am hopeful that we can make a difference. I wanted to encourage each of you to reach out to the council members that you know and talk to them personally about this. Also, if you do write anything to the council as a whole, please stress your appreciation for the tough job the council members have and the respect that you have for their position. They are in a tough spot and we want to influence them with diplomacy. We need 7 of them to vote NO and stand up to the Mayor and that is not the easiest thing to do. Lastly, I wanted to remind each of you that there will be a special meeting at 6 pm this coming Thursday at the council chambers. I encourage you to attend and speak personally with the council members. I hope that there will be some opportunity for public comment, and if there is, I plan to try to speak.
