Happy Christmas
As we celebrate this holiday season, let us take a moment to consider the many grandchildren and grandparents whose relationships have been severed.
While families come together to open presents, thousands are prevented from experiencing these joyful moments due to barriers created by other family members. Imagine the emotional toll this takes on both sides; the absence of these cherished connections is especially poignant during a time traditionally centered around family, leaving grandparents with a profound sense of loss as they watch the festivities unfold without their grandchildren.
Some families may possess a Child Arrangement Order, but these arrangements often do not apply on Christmas Day. Additionally, there are situations where these Orders have been breached, as one parent may not encourage contact with the other. As the New Year approaches, courts will reopen, and the backlog of cases involving contact arrangements and breaches of Court Orders will only increase, with the children bearing the brunt of these upheavals.
It is imperative that we engage in a national dialogue about these issues to ensure that no child grows up questioning the absence of those who love them deeply, yet are unable to demonstrate that love.
Let's take a moment to consider those affected during this season, and please continue to sign this petition. We must advocate for all children to grow up knowing they are loved by everyone in their lives.
