Support for our view voiced by Mumbai's Federation of Residents Associations

The Times of India reports today 24 Dec, on its front flyer that the Federation of Residents Associations (FORT) has written to the Chief Minister voicing concerns about heritage and traffic over the proposed statue opposite the NGMA.The letter has been written under the letterhead of FORT  which includes Oval Cooperage Residents Association (OCRA), Nariman Point Churchgate Citizens Association (NPCCA) and Oval Trust. Many of their members have already signed this petition too. We need more support for the authorities to heed our plea.

This petition is addressed to the Mumbai Heritage conservation Committee with a request to convince the Municipal Corporation that the statue should be in a private area already earmarked adjacent to the mayor\s Bungalow at Dadar opposite Shivaji Park. ..
