The MTA claims is that Bronx buses run 2% faster after 250 bus stops were removed. One hundred fifty bus stops had to be reinstated due to complaints. No statistics are given for passenger trips which include walking and waiting times.

You have a good chance of missing your bus while walking further to the nearest bus stop which the MTA fails to consider. They also ignore the fact that buses do not stop if no one gets on or off, but are specifically targeting low usage stops where no time is saved when those stops are removed.

I just missed a bus yesterday because my bus stop was removed and had to wait an extra 10 minutes, more than doubling my trip time. 

They also claim ridership is up 8% since the redesign which could be a result of riders  returning to buses since the pandemic or increased attempts to fight fare evasion. There is no evidence that the increase had anything to do with the redesign or bus stop removal. 

Do not let the MTA continue to mislead you. Let them know loud and clear that virtually all the bus stops with the exception of a very few need to stay where they are.
