The petition is still circulating and gaining more signers. But after what many believe was a rousing State of the Union Address, I penned a second petition titled "Mr. Biden, Stop this War!", inspired by a line from that address. This second petition does not ask President Biden to step aside, but warns him that he must pull the plug on this war with no further delay, lest he lose critical voters in battleground states in November.

Muslim Americans and other supporters of the Palestinians know that for years the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) has punished politicians who stray from its line. This year, many voters in battleground states believe it is time to punish Joe Biden and make him a one-term president.
A people who suffered the worst kind of genocide have no license to perpetrate even a lesser kind.
You must shift gears, and call for an immediate and permanent cease-fire to allow for the release of hostages and Palestinians in Israeli jails, and for the level of humanitarian assistance needed. You must demand that the IDF leave Gaza, to be replaced by an international peacekeeping force. You must leverage military aid to these purposes.
