GOOD NEWS IS ON IT's WAY - by NETWORK RAIL

We might finally be getting somewhere,

Email received just now from Network Rail:-

…….I appreciate the impact which this work continues to have for local residents and businesses and can provide an assurance that Network Rail is working hard on a solution to improve the situation.

I’ve discussed this issue with my colleague Stuart Humphreys, who I understand you’ve previously met, and following a review of the options available to the project we have a significant update which he will be able to share with you and which I hope will be welcome news to you and the local traders who have been affected.

In advance of that being circulated I can confirm that we will be happy to arrange a meeting to discuss this revised plan in more detail if questions arise from the update which Stuart provides. As such I’ve also copied in my colleague Gavin Crook, who is our Principal Programme Sponsor for the Midland Main Line Upgrade, for his awareness.

Unfortunately it seems we cannot be trusted with the facts at present but are waiting with baited breath for the result !
