ROAR - Reinstate Our Access Road - B571 Leyland Estate, Irthlingborough Rd, Wellingborough

The Issue

Network Rail have taken down the Road Bridge on the B571 Irthlingborough Road, Wellingborough as part of their line electrification program. It was due to be reinstated during April 2019.

A decision has been made not to reinstate this bridge as a road bridge effectively cutting off the Leyland Trading Estate from the town centre.

This has a massive impact on the local community and businesses. Workers are being made redundant and companies may not survive. There is no passing trade.

The alternative proposed route is not due to be completed for at least 2-3 years.

The concept of a temporary Bailey Bridge has been abandoned by Network Rail leaving the Leyland Trading Estate equally abandoned.

We need your support for the 1000 plus people employed on the Estate and ensure un-restricted traffic flows.
