Fantastic support over 2200 on-line signatures in less than 2 weeks

An initial temporary notice issued by KierWSP who act as Highways for Northants County Council for the 'Demolition and Reconstruction' of the bridge may be effective until mid 2020. This needs to be questioned as to it's validity with reconstruction not taking place and incorrectly advertised on signage and websites. No order has been issued to cover the period between this one ending and Route 2 opening. Any new application should be blocked.

Our local MPs Peter Bone and Tom Pursglove have written 3 times to the Secretary of State for Transport and are awaiting replies.

We have spoken to Department of Transport today who are looking towards a Public Enquiry however it could be a few weeks before we have full confirmation of this.

A public meeting to be held at Club Diana was scheduled for this month by Network Rail but a date has still to be confirmed.

We have also been in contact with ORR, The Office for Road and Rail, whom Network Rail are answerable to and they are looking into matters.
They are also liaising with DoT as Network Rail have to date not been forthcoming in providing information requested. They could impose penalty against Network Rail of £25million.

We are looking towards Highways rejecting any further Orders being made. No revised Traffic Impact Assessments were carried out and No Impact Assessment was carried out in respect of the Leyland Trading Estate.

Traffic through the Stanton Cross development is horrendous and dangerous with the roads not being designed to accommodate the HGV's etc. We are looking to Bovis to stand up and make good!
