So far, we have raised 5,703.00 of the $8,000.00 necessary to meet pending legal expenses. We need $2,297.00 more to pay the costs related to taking the crucial legal depositions on March 23-24 in Franklin, TN. Please continue your support of CCABLAC by clicking here: https://www.change.org/f/boycott-animal-cruelty-to-big-lick-tennessee-walking-horses The Legal Depositions taken on March 23/24 have provided a "Smoking Gun" in the Seay v. Rowland; John Doe, I-X, Defendants, lawsuit filed in the U. S. District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee in Nashville. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ADDITIONAL DEFENDANTS LIKELY TO BE ADDED IN SEAY V. ROWLAND LAWSUIT Four vital legal depositions (March 23/24) revealed information which will likely result in additional defendants being added to the First Amendment Civil Rights lawsuit. The Depositions disclosed that the Columbia Spring Jubilee Horse Show Manager and a “Big Lick” videographer entered into an “Agreement” which was then used by Maury County Sheriff and his Deputies, and also the “Big Lick” videographer, in an attempt to deprive, intimidate and threaten American Citizens of their constitutional rights. Citizens were attending a horse show in a public park, taking videos with the intention of putting them on the internet for the World to see the “Big Lick” Animal Cruelty which is perpetrated upon Tennessee Walking Horses. Here is The Tennessean newspaper article (August 25, 2016) report on the lawsuit: http://www.tennessean.com/story/news/crime/2016/08/25/horse-soring-activist-sues-tennessee-sheriff/89366070/ “Horse Soring Activist Sues Tennessee Sheriff” “Clant M. Seay says his constitutional rights were violated when Maury County Sheriff Bucky Rowland approached him at the Columbia Spring Jubilee horse show at Maury County Park on June "The fear of intimidation, threatening and interference by Sheriff Rowland and his deputies severely restricts and impairs Seay's constitutionally protected exercise of freedom of the press at the public Maury County Park guaranteed by the First Amendment," Seay's lawsuit reads. Seay, of Oxford, Miss., says he is a journalist and owner of billygoboy.com, a website that documents Tennessee walking horse shows by recording and photographing shows in public spaces. He also is affiliated with a group that protests those shows, Citizens Campaign Against "Big Lick" Animal Cruelty.” ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- DEFUNCT “BIG LICK” MISSISSIPPI HORSE SHOW MOVED TO SHELBYVILLE, TN For decades, the Mississippi Charity Horse Show in Jackson, Mississippi, was held on these SAME DATES in April. The "Jackson Horse Show" is no longer in existence due to the efforts of CCABLAC (Citizens Campaign Against “Big Lick” Animal Cruelty). CCABLAC started a Change.Org Petition in 2015 which resulted in the UMMC (University of Mississippi Medical Center) publicly severing all ties with “Big Lick” Animal Cruelty. The UMMC also refused to accept a $50,000.00 annual donation from the “Big Lick” horse show. This CCABLAC Change.Org Petition, put the “Big Lick” Mississippi Charity Horse Show out of business. For decades. It was held on the Mississippi Fairgrounds in Jackson, Mississippi. It has been run out of Mississippi, and a show on the private property of the TN Walking Horse National Celebration in Shelbyville, TN (see below). https://www.change.org/p/mississippi-charity-horse-show-manager-mr-robert-taylor-cancel-the-59-big-lick-tennessee-walking-horse-classes-at-the-2015-mississippi-charity-horse-show-and-ban-them-in-the-future The local Shelbyville, TN newspaper announced last Friday that the “Big Lick” Multi-Millionaires will hold a Fund Raiser Gala at the Blue Ribbon Circle Club at the Tennessee Walking Horse National Celebration show grounds in Shelbyville, TN. It is a red carpet event with bar, dinner, live music and live and silent auctions. The Fundraiser is being held in conjunction with the Gala Spring Showcase which will be held on at the Calsonic Arena on April 14-15. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- VIRAL VIDEO – “HERE’S WHAT ‘SORING’ DOES TO HORSES” = APPROACHES 12 MILLION VIEWS The videos made by CCABLAC animal welfare advocates are exposing the “Big Lick” Animal Cruelty culture. Many of the scenes from the Video were provided to “DoDo” by the Citizens Campaign Against “Big Lick” Animal Cruelty including this one from the 2015 Mississippi Charity Horse Show (Now Defunct) held for decades in Jackson, Mississippi. Your support of CCABLAC makes these good things happen FOR ‘The Horses’, and to hasten the demise of “Big Lick” Animal Cruelty.
