Glimmer was shown on July 18, 2015, and didn’t do well, so apparently it was time to "get rid of the horrribly scarred 11 year old gelding. On July 28, 2015, Gen’s Ice Glimmer was transported to a public auction in Cookeville, Tennessee. Killer buyers were there ready to bid on him. Glimmer was going to bought, and then loaded up with 19 other horses and sent to Mexico where he was going to be slaughtered for meat. Fortunately, horribly scarred Gen’s Ice Glimmer was saved from this fate on July 28, 2015, when CCABLAC and the Horse Plus Humane Society of Hohenwald, Tennessee, purchased him in the auction parking lot. At that time, a promise was made to Gen’s Ice Glimmer - to fight for him, and all his brothers and sisters who remain in the "Big LIck" Animal Cruelty Gulag, until “Big Lick” Animal Cruelty is abolished. In 2016, CCABLAC has campaigned from the Gulf of Mexico at Panama City Beach, Florida to the Blue Ridge Mountains at Asheville, North Carolina – to Tunica, Mississippi near Memphis, TN, and now to the Equus Film Festival in New York City, to tell the story of "Gen's Ice Glimmer" and CCABLAC (Citizens Campaign Against 'Big Lick' Animal Cruelty).
