Commit Chaffey Joint Union High School District to 100% Renewable Energy

The Issue

Chaffey Joint Union High School District must commit to energy efficiency, 100% clean renewable energy sources, and a new focus on environmental justice and equity by 2030.

We must transition away from fossil fuels to stop the world-wide threat of catastrophic climate change. This threat endangers the livelihoods of every community in California, especially the futures of young generations and the generations to come. Every year, California sees less rainfall, more forest fires, and higher temperatures.

Now, everything is at stake: our infrastructure, our environment, and most importantly, our future.

As technology improves and renewable energy becomes cheaper and more readily available, traditional non-renewable energy is rising in cost. This means that 100% clean energy will provide Chaffey Joint Union High School District with money to spend back in the classroom, on our children and our future.

Renewable energy and battery storage are essential to reducing indirect carbon emissions and fighting the climate crisis. It is therefore imperative that Chaffey Joint Union High School District transition away from fossil fuels to clean, renewable energy.

If you believe that our world is one worth saving, please sign and share this petition.

Thank you.
