The first decision was that the Liberal Democrats elected Jo Swinson as their new leader. She used her acceptance speech to say she will stop Brexit by any means possible.
Next was Shadow Chancellor John McDonald to confirm that Labour will campaign for the UK to Remain in the EU in any new referendum or a General Election. The problem is that a new referendum or General Election is for the new Prime Minister to allow.
At last we discovered that Boris Johnson has been elected as the new Conservative Leader and now today he has entered 10, Downing Street as our new Prime Minister.
For his acceptance speech he said he intends to Deliver Brexit, Unite the Country, and Defeat Jeremy Corbyn. The acronym is DUD but a handy wag pointed it out so Boris added a final E making the acronym DUDE !
Boris has been appointing his new cabinet and making extravagant promises which former Chancellor Philip Hammond had told him were unaffordable. Keir Starmer has just said that the rhetoric is fine but you can't fulfil the promises on fresh air.
A number of recent cabinet ministers left before Boris went to see the Queen and Lord Michael Heseltine was scathing.
Stopping Brexit is still possible but please keep the pressure up.
