ANOTHER RESIGNATION ! ! !

Andrea Leadsom , Leader of the House of Commons resigned, which came as a surprise as she had been supportive to Mrs.May.

Mrs. May presented a brighter, shinier version of her Withdrawal from the EU Bill (WAB) to Parliament after the EU Elections, (which she did not want to hold), but again almost no-one was happy with it.

Jeremy Corbyn said that it really had not changed at all. and the ERG right-wing members of the Tory Party complained that they wanted a no-deal Brexit as soon as possible, having missed the original end of March Deadline. She reminded them that a deal is better than no-deal. Again she could not get a majority for the WAB deal in Parliament.

Mrs. May intended to make her WAB more appealing to her MPs  and present it to Parliament again. However there was much discontent among her own MPs and speculation that some of them fancied a chance at leadership of the Tory Party.

Instead of bringing the WAB back to Parliament Mrs. May stood outside Number 10, Downing Street and gave a speech about how hard she had worked to "Deliver Brexit",bringing the Withdrawal Bill back to Parliament three times but had been unable to get MPs to agree.

She said she would let someone else take over. She would continue until June 7th (after the visit of Donald Trump and the D-Day Commemorations) and would be a Care-Taker Prime Minister until her Tory Party had time to elect a new Leader / Prime Minister, (probably the end of July).

She said how privileged she felt to have the job of Prime Minister to serve the people and the country she loves, but then could not contain her tears and went back inside.

She did not say what she planned to do for the 3,000 workers who were being made redundant at British Steel, the owners saying they are unable to take any orders due to the Brexit uncertainty.

She did not say anything about the EU Nationals working in the UK who had registered to vote in the EU Elections but had been turned away from polling stations where they were told they were not eligible.
