Four years ago, Jack and Hadleigh wrote an advertisement intended to spread Christmas joy to the good people of Aotearoa and hopefully sell a few more cans of paint. The ad did both. With a tiny budget, but big ambition, the resourceful creatives decided to lend their acting talent to the project for the miserly fee of 4 Cheeseburgers from the Thames Valley McDonald's Drive Thru. If only they’d known what the future might hold, and that the ad, an instant Kiwi Christmas Classic, would be played during the 6 o’clock News, every Christmas, for eternity. While initially prudent with their new found wealth, following the advice of their 4th form Business Studies Teachers, by the time they’d made it over the Kopu Bridge, all the cheeseburgers were gone. With the ad now playing for it’s fourth Christmas in a row, it’s time the boys received fair payment. They’re not asking for much, just $10,000 each so they can quit their jobs and go travelling for two weeks around Rarotonga. Yeah they may have signed a contract, and yes, they may be idiots but please sign if you support their right to have a relaxing island holiday.
