Good Evening Walnut Grove,
The township is anxious to get your written feedback at the Williams Meeting tomorrow, Tuesday June 14th at the Langley Events Center.
An update from MOT today.
1. MOT are working to 90% design complete now, the only changes from the feedback session to their portion was to improve the sound barriers along Hwy 1. They will use berms where there is room instead of walls.
2. The Petition feedback was summarized and sent to the TOL design team, and the design of the 4 lanes from HWY 1 to Telegraph Trail is underway.
I have heard that one important reason this road is to be 4 lanes is to capture additional Translink project and maintenance funding as a Major Road Network (MRN). Currently 216th from 88th to 96th is part of the MRN and I heard 4 lanes are required to secure funding. If someone knows more about these details, please share in the comments section.
