Our friend’s life was forever altered by a shocking incident at Square Hotel, Nepal swimming pool which was lacking any safety regulations. He has been in a coma for past seven months following an electrocution accident while swimming with his family. This tragedy must serve as a wake-up call for change, ensuring such an event never happens again. Let’s turn this tragedy into a catalyst for change!

Our Demands:

Accountability: We demand that the hotel takes full responsibility for this incident. Negligence in maintaining electrical safety measures should not go unpunished. Sajil's life has been forever altered, and justice must prevail.

Safety Regulations: We urge the Nepali government and hotel industry authorities to establish and enforce stringent safety regulations. These regulations should cover electrical installations, maintenance, and regular inspections. Every hotel, whether catering to locals or tourists, must adhere to these standards to prevent similar accidents.

Awareness and Training: Hotels should prioritize safety training for their staff. Proper handling of electrical systems, emergency protocols, and first aid procedures are essential. Awareness campaigns should also educate guests about potential hazards and safety precautions.

Transparency: Hotels must transparently communicate safety measures to guests. Clear signage, safety guidelines, and emergency contact information should be readily available.

Support for Victims: Our friend’s medical expenses have been overwhelming. We call upon the hotel to provide financial support for his ongoing treatment and rehabilitation.
