Move Game 6 of the World Series—hands off my Halloween, MLB!

The Issue

TLDR – Reschedule Game 6 so it’s not on Halloween. This is ridiculous. :)

Dear MLB,

We need to talk.

Game 6 of the World Series is scheduled for Halloween night, and frankly, that’s just cruel. For families like mine, Halloween isn’t just a few candy bars and a plastic pumpkin—it’s a full production.

In my family, Halloween is a whole deal. The kids are off school, we carve pumpkins, we sip hot cocoa, and my siblings drive in from out of state to trick-or-treat with my kids. It’s great.

But we’re also diehard Dodgers fans who must watch the games live. My brother literally has Clayton Kershaw’s signature tattooed on his arm. So now he has to choose between Game 6 and the haunted fun he literally traveled hours for? Unacceptable.

What kind of monster does that to families? Dracula? Pennwise? Rob Manfred?

We can’t be the only family facing this impossible choice. Halloween and baseball both deserve our full attention—no one should have to choose between these two sacred American traditions: ritualized gluttony and emotionally devastating baseball.

So please, MLB: move Game 6 to November 1st. Give us one night for monsters and another for miracles.

Sincerely,
Parents, fans, and Halloween enthusiasts everywhere.
