As expected, NextEra, LLC has officially appealed the 2-2 "denied" decision. And unfortunately, because Supervisors Gormont and Patterson cowardly/unscrupiously voted in favor of Brookview 1 verses a decisive 3-1 decision, local taxpayers and the opposition group will now have to pay more legal fees to defend this township denial.

So much for integrity and transparency with King Gormont's Re-Election Campaign, he just reinforced what John does best, by ignoring/dismissing 1,000 plus tax-payers and reportedly engaging in "election interference" practices, as Township Solicitor Smith averages 8-10k a month to also obstruct Mt Joy citizens and democracy?

Email Subject: Election Interference

Dear Mr. Gormont,

The County has received a number of complaints about road crews removing political signs in the days leading up to tomorrow’s election.

Apparently, you suggested to Ms. Crouse this morning that these actions are motivated by the right-of-way regulations of certain public roadways, however there is video evidence of road crews going onto private property and seizing political signs where there is no evidence of roadwork whatsoever.  The aforementioned behavior is deeply troubling and highly suspect, and likely constitutes theft, criminal trespass, and interference with the election.

To be clear, the County will not tolerate any behavior which threatens the constitutional rights of its citizens to a free and fair election.  Should we continue to receive complaints, we will be referring these matters to the District Attorney’s Office for prosecution.  To the extent that you are involved with the removal of the signs, please see that they are returned to the property owners immediately.

Sincerely,

Sean A. Mott, Esq.
