My heart is broken due to the loss of my oldest son Wuanyae, his death has been such a tragedy on me causing me to go into a deep depression. My baby was a kind, genuine person, loved by all his true family and friends. Wuanyae had a passion for motorcycles, he worked on his bikes (motorcycle) day and night, left right, in and out, you name it, He was on it.  Saturday morning Wuanyae woke up happy, we were bbq'n for his birthday all his family/friends were coming by, even people we haven't saw in a long time, everything was going great, laughs and smiles all day. Sat night April 9 I didn't know that when my child left the house he wasn't coming back, for good. He was just going up the street to the corner store on his bike on E lancaster rd in Fort worth, Tx and was caused in a accident then passed away a little while later. Unfortunately Wuanyae did not have on a helmet causing him to pass a sudden death. I want to spread the word of how important it is to take 2 seconds to put a hemlet on in to pass the law that a helmet is required regardless of age. We say regardless of age because in Texas, there is No law required for wearing a helmet. The law in Texas requires that any person UNDER the age of 21 wear a helmet when they are riding a motorcycle. Additionally, riders over the age of 21 are not required to wear a helmet unless they can prove one of the following is true: 

     *That they have completed an approved motorcycle operator training course

     *The rider has medical insurance coverage (at least $10,000) to handle any injuries that may occur in an accident.

We really want to promote Helmet awareness for all motocyclists/riders and Hopes that The DMV and or State of Texas will make it a law to ENFORCE helmet safety.

Just like it's required before leaving off a car lot to have insurance, it should be required before leaving DMV or Dealership to have a helmet.
