Hi everyone,

As you know, the Amazon is in serious danger. So I need your help to convince Morrisons to stop buying beef from JBS - the company that’s been illegally chopping down precious trees in the Amazon.

Please could you retweet my message to Morrisons? It contains my open letter that I’ve sent to them today. You can also email their CEO David Potts at david.potts@wmmorrisons.co.uk, as well as fresh@morrisons.com.

Everyone is worried about losing the Amazon rainforest. So now is the time to call on Morrisons to do their bit. Once they act, other supermarkets and retailers will have to follow.

But this will only work if we all do this… So please retweet my tweet and email them. Thank you so much.

This is the text of my open letter:

Dear Morrisons CEO David Potts,

I’m writing to you because the Amazon rainforest is in serious danger, and you Mr Potts are in a unique position to help.

An Earthsight investigation has revealed that JBS beef - a company that Morrisons buys beef from - has been found guilty of illegally chopping down trees in the Amazon.

JBS is the largest producer of beef in the world. They supply the beef for your corned beef products, and for Princes corned beef, which you stock.

I’m asking you personally to urgently ensure that you immediately cut JBS out of your supply chain. Over 165,000 people have signed my petition calling on you to do this. www.change.org/MorrisonsRainforest

Please listen to us. The Amazon is the lungs of our planet. It is dying, and we are running out of time. If you can take this bold move, other supermarkets will follow.

I’m sure you have been watching the Amazon rainforest burning. We all have. But you can do something about it. The eyes of the world are on you.
