More No-Kills, Less Suffering, and Better Lives!

More No-Kills, Less Suffering, and Better Lives!
The Issue
Dogs, our best friends, should not be suffering out on the streets, or in pounds. We are making them suffer without even knowing, and that should stop. From euthanizing, starving, and more; none are okay. Texas does not have an exact percentage for its homeless dog population, but available information points to a major challenge with animal shelters being overcrowded and large numbers of stray animals. In 2023, Texas shelters took in 568,325 dogs and cats, and more than 82,681 of these animals were euthanized, which was the highest number in the country. A nationwide projection estimates that approximately 20% of all dogs are homeless, a figure that includes both stray animals and those residing in shelters.
