More financial support offered to Disabled People

The Issue

  1.  Life costs more if you’re disabled and right now the support which is offered is simply not cutting it.
Some disabled people have gone past the point of cutting back and now simply can’t afford simply basics such as, food and clothing.
Of course, there have been payments and schemes put in place to help support disabled people and families, however with the cost of living rising - they simply aren’t going to cut the bill.

Disabled people and families use aids and equipment which relies on electric. With the cost of everything going up, how are disabled people supposed to afford food, clothes and pay for use of their aids which they simply can’t live without?
Disabled people simply have no choice in this matter and being disabled myself, it feels like we’re being punished for our disability, with lack of help and support.

Disabled people still have things to pay for and if anything they pay a lot more to energy suppliers etc due to use of their equipment.

Vulnerable people should not be worried about not being able to eat or use their equipment today, simply because it costs too much.

People like myself, I struggle with temperature regulation and in the winter, my first worry is how am I supposed to keep warm if I can’t put the heating on?
We don’t choose to have a disability or a illness, so please don’t take advantage of our needs to create more money for certain companies etc.

People living with Invisible disabilities suffer from the effects of the living costs too as well as being judged for not ‘looking’ disabled, but what does disabled look like?

My aim is to start a petition in order to gain publicity in the hope the government offers more help and services to support disabled people during this heavy time.

I also use my own time to help and support Disabled people using my platform Invisibility.
