A huge hello to all Mario Karters!
Well, after having our first tease into Wave 4 of the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass, with the reveal of the Yoshi's Island track and especially Birdo as a new playable character for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe...
...we get our first full look of Wave 4 thanks to the trailer given to us on March 2nd of 2023.
According to the trailer, Wave 4's cups will have the following tracks.
For the first Wave 3 Cup, we have the Rock Cup, which consists of the following tracks in order.
- Tour Amsterdam Drift
- GBA Riverside Park (Introducing Walking Pirahna Plants as track hazards into Mario Kart 8 Deluxe)
- Wii DK Summit
- Yoshi's Island (which will likely return in Mario Kart Tour, but still be unlaled in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe like Ninja Hideaway, Sky-High Sundae, and Merry Mountain)
And for the final of the 2 Cups for Wave 4, we have what likely serves as the "Cousin" of the Flower Cup - the Moon Cup. In the Boomerang Cup, the tracks in order are...
- Tour Bangkok Rush
- DS Mario Circuit
- GCN Waluigi Stadium (the first Mario Kart: Double Dash!! / GameCube track of the Booster Course Pass)
- Tour Singapore Speedway
The Half Pipes, which debuted in Maple Treeway & Merry Mountain in Wave 3, also appear in Wave 4, specfically in Wii DK Summit & GCN Waluigi Stadium (restoring the aspects of the Wii version of GCN Waluigi Stadium).
Wave 4 of the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass will be updated into Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on March 9th of 2023...
...bthe same day as the last Nintendo Direct for The Super Mario Bros. Movie, where we will be seeing its final trailer.
Now it seems that Birdo & her 8 alternate colorations will be the sole & only characters being added into Mario Kart 8 Deluxe via Wave 4 of the Booster Course Pass.
What we've yet to see is how Birdo's addition will affect the layout of the roster.
So far, the roster...
...NOT counting alternates like Yoshi, Shy Guy, and the Inkling Boy & Girl's colorations, Gold Mario, & Breath of the Wild Link...
...features 42 characters arranged in a 7 by 6 layout - 6 row, 7 characters per row.
With Birdo's addition in the Booster Course Pass, that will boost the roster to 43 characters. But we've yet to see how that will change the roster layout if it will.
If only 1 character is added in the remaining waves, those being Wave 5 & Wave 6, the roster will still have an evenly shaped layout with 45 characters (again, not counting alts.), which will change the roster layout to an 8 by 5 layout (either 8 rows of 5 characters, or 5 rows of 8 characters).
However, with SO many characters included throughout the Mario Kart franchise, especially in Mario Kart Tour, it would be unwise & disappointing if only 1 character is added per remaining wave.
So hopefully, in Waves 5 & 6, and possibly even after the Booster Course Pass is done, we get more than 1 character per wave.
Aftwr all, just because Birdo was revealed to be added into Mario Kaet 8 Deluxe does not mean our goal has been reached.
As long as Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is in desperate need of...
A.) More Characters like Pauline, Kamek, Birdo, Petey Pirahna, Diddy Kong, Dixie Kong, Funky Kong, Hammer Bro, etc.
B.) More Vehicles like the Wild Wing, Super Pipe Frame (Hint: Cubical Engine, Dual-Exhausts), Royale, Flame Flyer, Streamliner, Blue 7, B-Dasher Mk. II, Banana Master, Comet Tail, Carrot Kart, etc.
C.) More Wheels & Gliders.
D.) More Items like the Mega Mushroom, Ice Flower, Tanooki Leaf, Fake Item Box, etc.
And E.) Additional Content such as Character Alts, a Mirrored 200cc mode, Vehicle Paints, More Battle Maps, "Mission Mode", etc.
AND, as long as there's the eventual inevitability that all characters, vehicles, wheels, gliders, power-ups, and other content from Mario Kart Tour will be gone once Tour & its servers discontinue UNLESS Nintendo preserve said content into Mario Kart 8 Deluxe...
We need to keep spreading the word to everyone that Nintendo needs to give Mario Kart 8 Deluxe the aforementioned additional characters, vehicles, wheels, gliders, power-ups, and other additional content that it rightfully deserves, especially as a means to preserve Mario Kart Tour's content.
That means we keep spreading the word to everyone we can, and we keep sharing & signing petitions sharing our desires like these.

If anything else comes up, like when the remaining 2 waves of the Booster Course Pass being announced and/or released, I'll be sure to give you all updates & continue spreading the word on our desires.
And if you'd like to read what I think to how Nintendo can implement more characters, vehicles, wheels, gliders, items, & other content into Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, such as via a 2nd DLC Pass, unlockables in a "Mission Mode" and/or In-Game shop, or some other methods to implement said content into MK8DX, feel free to visit the prior update linked below.

Most of all, for any potential Character, Vehicle, Wheel, Glider, & other piece of content in Mario Kart Tour that could be implemented into Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, click the next link below to look through them.

And that's not even to mention that thr vehicles we saw in the trailers for The Super Mario Bros. Movie would make awesome content to add into Mario Kart 8 Deluxe as a way to promote thr movie.
As I've said before & will say again, just like last year in 2022, let's continue the race into 2023 & keep going with letting everyone & especially Nintendo hear our desires for Nintendo to give Mario Kart 8 Deluxe more characters, more vehicles, more gliders, more wheels, more items, and any additional content they can think of like character alts., a Mirrored 200cc mode, & more; and, in turn, preserve said content from Mario Kart Tour into Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Once Mario Kart 8 Deluxe gets said content, which it rightfully needs, we'll be happy to truly & officially declare that Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is the "Super Smash Bros. Ultimate" of the Mario Kart series.
With all that said, good luck everyone, keep on racing, & LET'S-A GO! XD
And get ready to drive fast! :)
