I would like to share my story with you because the truth is, I need your help. 

I have been a proud citizen of Scotland for twenty years, and after all this time the Home Office is now telling me to leave the country. To be told to leave my home hurts me incredibly. 

From the streets of Hunan, China to the beautiful Highlands of Moray, Scotland, I have been on an unbelievable journey of self discovery whilst embracing my Scottish identity. For over twenty years I have called Moray my home, it was the country that took me in and the country that gave me a place to call home which I desperately and wholeheartedly needed. I cannot ever put into words how grateful I am to the wider community around me who welcomed me with open arms.

Over the years I have tried so hard to repay this amazing kindness by contributing to academia as a professor in engineering, working with countless local, national and international charities from the Moray Wellbeing Hub to VOX Scotland, from ReBoot to Alliance Scotland, from TSI Moray to International Foundation for Integrated Care, from Inclusive Scotland to Human Rights Consortium Scotland, campaigning for world peace in Moray, Scotland and United Kingdom and so much more.

In return for this, the Home Office of HM Government have left me nothing but endless fees in applications, life draining mental fatigue of going through endless paperwork and I am now facing the fact I might lose everything that I know and love so dearly here in Moray, all on top of dealing with bi-polar on a daily basis.

My message is simple: Moray is my home; I believe you can help me. By signing this you are telling the Home Office of the UK Government that I belong here as a fully permanent UK Resident.
