WE ARE VERY CONCERNED about over-development at the Ashton crossroads.

We, the undersigned, request that the County Council make the following changes to the Ashton Village Center Sector Plan that has been proposed by the Planning Board:

•   Maintain the maximum building height for all four corners of the Ashton intersection at the currently allowed height of 30 feet (the official height of the Alloway Building and presently the tallest building in Ashton).

•   Reduce the permitted density of buildings on the Southeast Corner recommended by the Planning Board.

•   Change design guidelines into requirements.

•   Ensure that the Implementation Advisory Committee (made up of citizens, and other stakeholders) be given review power over development plans early and throughout the process.
