Dear Monitor, Please would you strongly consider urging North Essex Partnership Trust to reverse their decision to move Clacton Hospital's Peter Bruff acute ward to Colchester. We have laid out many arguments in both a petition and on our facebook page along with newspaper articles and feel sure that your consideration of these will lead you to the same conclusion as ourselves that it will only lead to further hardship, suffering and tragedy to remove acute services from an area of the county that already faces many challenges. Given the bed crisis that already exists the creation of extra beds in Colchester would be a very welcome addition and improvement to the service, but not at the expense of current beds in Clacton.
