Monitor & Move Radioactive Waste off San Onofre Beach

Monitor & Move Radioactive Waste off San Onofre Beach
The Issue
San Onofre State Beach, a beloved natural treasure and popular surf break visited by millions each year, has become a nuclear waste dump site.
3.6 million pounds of radioactive nuclear waste is stored in unmonitored thin metal canisters, prone to cracks and corrosion. This poses a significant hazard to the environment and public health.
This dump site is adjacent to the homes of our men and women in uniform at Camp Pendleton, as well as millions of other residents in Southern California.
Let’s prioritize the health and safety of our communities and the preservation of our natural spaces. Governor Newsom and the federal government need to take immediate action to remove this toxic waste from our public beach.
Sign this petition today to demand the monitoring and removal of the nuclear waste from San Onofre State Beach!
