We need to take action NOW - send a letter to MVDC Chief Exec

In case this didn't go out yesterday:
Thank you for your support of the Dorking Safe Streets movement to construct a safe, pedestrian controlled crossing on Chalkpit Lane, Dorking. Owing to your collective action, we have the support of many Surrey County Council and Mole Valley District Council members to conduct a FEASIBILITY STUDY into the project. We have applied for community infrastructure levy funding to pay for this work.
Whilst there is much to celebrate here, we need to ask for your help once more. We need you to write to the Chief Executive of Mole Valley District Council...here is a template letter. It is really important that each of us customise and make personal our letters - this is a sample to get you started.
We have hit a stumbling block in applying for the funding: there is a potential legal loophole which means that Mole Valley District Council might not allow the funds which are sitting with the council to be spent on the feasibility study. We need this funding to move our campaign forward. It is, after all, money given to the community in the trust of the council.
Please join us and write to the leader of Mole Valley District Council (MVDC) requesting that we should use these community funds for this project. We have outlined these issues on our website in both a presentation to the council and also in this letter to the Chief Exec.
We know everyone is really busy but this is the time to show support for the use of funds for the crossing - we hope that this template makes it easier for you. Remember, it is really important to customise the letter and make it personal.
Here is our entire plan with the presentation we provided to MVDC and SCC, in case you would like further detail.
Thank you so much for your ongoing support!
