Singapore currently faces the challenge of combating COVID-19, or 2019 novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV).

There’s been a lot of misinformation going around that fan negative public perception towards our frontline healthcare and medical professionals -- the very people who are making daily sacrifices, putting their lives on the line and helping to mend the fort in this battle against the spread of the virus. It’s certainly disappointing to see them subjected to bias, insensitivities and even abuse when they are giving their best on their jobs.

Our frontline healthcare and medical staff deserve more recognition for their efforts, and we want them to know that they have more support from the rest of us than the minority groups that display ugly and unacceptable behaviours towards these everyday heroes.

This petition is a simple gesture and a means to say “Thank you for your service” to the men and women on the frontlines, and I invite you to join me to garner signatures as our way of showing appreciation and encouraging them to keep going, no matter how tough the going may be.
