These changes would enhance accessibility, security, and efficiency for all court users, particularly self-represented litigants.

1. Integrate SingPass for Secure Verification:

• Mandate the use of SingPass, Singapore's trusted national digital identity system, for user verification in all court systems and eLitigation platforms.
• This would streamline access, enhance security, and reduce reliance on manual identity verification processes.
• Integrating SingPass would align the Courts with the nation's broader digitalization efforts, making legal processes more user-friendly for everyone.

2. Accept Electronic Notarization (E-Notary) Services:

• Recognize and accept secure e-notary services, such as those offered by platforms like Notarize.com, for affidavits and other legal documents.
• E-notary services offer a convenient and verifiable alternative to traditional in-person notarization, increasing accessibility for individuals who may face challenges with physical access or scheduling.
• This modernization would reduce reliance on paper-based processes, promote efficiency, and align with international trends in legal technology.

By adopting these reforms, the Singapore Courts can demonstrate a commitment to innovation, accessibility, and efficiency in the justice system. We urge the Courts to take action and implement these changes promptly.
